De Buyer 1830 calls the new stainless steel pans with non-stick coating 3-ply. They won't be inundated with design prizes, but that's not the main focus for the French manufacturer. Because performance matters. 

The two pans with a diameter of 24 and 28 cm are made of multi-layer material. Aluminum core surrounded by magnetic stainless steel on the outside and 18/10 stainless steel on the inside. The continuous aluminum ensures fast and even heating. Changes to the settings are passed on directly to the fried food.

Inside the pans are provided with an extremely robust non-stick coating based on PTFE. The non-stick coating is scratch-resistant to a certain extent. The more gently you treat the non-stick coating, the longer you will enjoy it. Dishwasher suitability is ascribed to the pans, but good old-fashioned cleaning by hand is recommended (also by us).

 The handle is as straightforward as the pan itself. The riveted stainless steel hollow handle reduces the overall weight of the pan. Nevertheless, it lies well in the hand and a recessed grip near the body ensures additional grip.

Great pans with remarkable performance, a very high quality non-stick coating at an incredible value for money! This is our preliminary verdict on the 3-ply pans. Of course, we can't yet judge how durable they are in the long run. Butch has never been disappointed by de Buyer.
